What is KAP?

Kundalini, also known as life force, prana or qi, is the ancient accepted term for the energy source within all living things — It is what gives us awareness to experience living. Ancient civilizations dating back to 1200 BCE have understood this phenomena as a powerful tool for influencing our natural abilities for healing, intuitive alignment, and personal clarity.

KAP, short for Kundalini Activation Process, is a method to awaken this energy, paving the way for self-exploration and personal growth. During this process of direct energy transmission, known as “shaktipat” in Hinduism, it is common to experience feelings of energy or heat moving within the body, intense emotional states, visions, and spontaneous body movements. And more importantly, KAP often leads to expanded states of consciousness, feelings of non-duality, and spiritual exploration.

Ultimately, you must feel it to believe it.

Public sessions

Open classes offer a secure and nurturing environment for up to twenty participants, giving you the freedom to release, express, and navigate through your unique journey alongside others.

The collective energy of these sessions often leads to shared patterns or themes within the group, enriching the overall experience.

These sessions run about two hours, and anyone interested in exploring this transformative process in a communal setting is welcome to join.

Individual or small group

Private sessions

Private sessions are available for a single individual up to a small group of five. These sessions offer a personalized and intimate space just for you (or your group) and your journey.

Please note, we'll need a suitable private space to hold the session. If you don’t have a suitable space, there might be an additional fee for space rental.

What happens in a KAP session?

During a KAP session, you don’t have to “do” anything. Unlike other kundalini practices, such as qi gong or kundalini yoga, KAP doesn't involve self-willed energy generation but requires complete surrender.

Participants lie down fully relaxed on a yoga mat. From there, music is played as the facilitator begins the energy transmission through light touch and/or working within your energy field. You may experience emotional release, somatic reactions (like shaking or twitching), profound relaxation, mental clarity, intuitive development, deep insights, visions, and more.

Because life force energy is the essence of life that flows through all living things, everyone is more or less sensitive to this process that helps activate it. Typically, the more KAP you do, the deeper it goes, and every time is different.

Continued exposure to KAP helps reset the central nervous system. It allows you to reach deeper levels of awareness which transforms of your way of being, your reality, and ultimately your life.

In today’s world, tending to the mind through mental health practices and the body through physical activity is certainly beneficial. But to achieve a fully expanded state of consciousness, nurturing our spiritual growth is equally necessary. KAP offers a potent path for this.

KAP energy manifests differently among participants, and it often changes from one session to the next, but below are the most common expression forms we see in individuals:

  • Kinesthetic

    Spontaneous body movements, shaking, mudras, stretching.

  • Visual

    Colors, visions, astral journeys, images.

  • Emotional

    Joy, saddness, anger — all the emotions that we suppress in our bodies are welcomed to be expressed.

  • Energetic

    Energetic

    Sensations of electricity/currents moving up and down the body

  • Bliss States

    A profound sense of oneness, connectedness, unconditional love.

About me

I’m Stella, an advocate of questioning the status quo, dance parties, and lots of time in nature. Currently, I live between the jungles of Costa Rica and the city of San Francisco.

Born to immigrant parents and a lineage of Eastern medicine doctors, I was fortunate enough to develop a holistic perspective on health and wellness early on. This foundation, coupled with my studies in International Business and East Asian Studies, has given me a unique understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit integrated into this human experience.

While living in China ten years ago, I began visiting monasteries and practicing meditation. In the ten years since then, my inner journey has led me across the globe to explore various healing arts throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, and Central America. KAP has been the modality most resonant for me, and I’ve been lucky enough to train directly under Venant Wong, the founder of the practice.
